But there has always been a gap.
For millions of women, the body's own climate the sudden heat that rises without warning, the flush that arrives uninvited in a meeting, the warmth that keeps you awake at 2am has been treated as something to endure rather than something to address. As a private inconvenience, not a design problem worth solving. As a medical footnote, not a call for something better.
We think that's about to change.
A new chapter in how we dress
Thermal wellness is the practice of caring for your body's temperature through what you wear with the same intention, beauty, and craft that fine fashion has always brought to everything else.
It is not a medical category. It is not a clinical solution. It is the simple, long-overdue idea that the clothes and accessories we reach for every day can do more than look good they can keep us comfortable, composed, and fully present in our own lives.
The women we design for are not defined by their symptoms. They are professionals, creatives, travellers, mothers, friends. They move through the world with purpose and with style. They have spent decades building a wardrobe that reflects who they are and they deserve accessories that work as hard as they do.
Why now
The conversation around women's health has shifted.
Perimenopause and menopause experiences shared by hundreds of millions of women worldwide are finally being spoken about openly, honestly, and without apology. The silence is breaking. And with it comes an expectation: that the products available to women at this life stage should meet them where they are.
Not with clinical packaging and functional-first design. Not with products that announce a private experience to a room full of strangers. But with beautiful, considered, discreet solutions that fit seamlessly into a life already well-lived.
Thermal wellness is that expectation made real.
What it looks like
A thermal wellness accessory is not a cooling device you tolerate. It is something you reach for the way you reach for your favourite scarf because it is your favourite scarf. Because it is made from materials chosen for how they feel against skin. Because it was designed with the same eye for proportion and detail as anything else in your wardrobe.
It works quietly. It travels with you. Nobody needs to know what it does only that you look exactly like yourself.
The AVELI belief
We started AVELI because we believed the gap between how well women dress themselves and how well their clothing serves them had gone unaddressed for too long.
We are not a medical brand. We are not a wellness brand in the conventional sense. We are a design-led accessories brand that happens to believe your wardrobe should keep you as comfortable as it keeps you confident.
Thermal wellness is the category we are building because it didn't exist yet, and it should.
